A little while before I left MN I saw the local fire department gathering around a house at the end of the block. It turns out the city bought the house to tear down. The FD was using it for practice. They had the ladder truck in front, boomed over the house. One of the FF climbed out on the ladder with a chainsaw to cut off a couple of small limbs that were in the way. While I stood there he leaned WAY out to cut off the limbs. Cut down from the top and ripped the limbs. They did give the bar just a little tug. Yipes! I thought that I was going to see him get pulled off the ladder. I joked with a couple other FF about how many arbo rules he was violating. But, they're not arbos so there must be other rules.
Talk to Riggs about using chainsaws in fires.
