TREE SERVICE SOFTWARE

ill look into jobber. also 'pindrop' is a great free ap that lets you set colored pin markers and review your business on a google map and share it with the crew

orange=estimate
purple=estimate done ( office begins paperwork and emails bid and insurance info )
green=go ahead
red=pending
black=done ( office files completion and collection if nec )

etc...

this way you can view one category individually , or a whole company review

Jobber does that.

The scheduling abilities of Jobber are astounding. Your Admin Assistant takes all the leads in through the day and creates a (quote) Task. Those that need immediate/firm dates are assigned to estimator and scheduled (if necessary). Open (quote) Tasks are assigned by manager to estimators through the week.

Tomorrow morning you 15-20 quotes assigned to Sept 3rd will appear in your Dashboard. Within "calendar" you will click on "map", and all of your stops for the day will be plotted (routed if you choose) on an imbedded google map. You can view all unassigned (quote) Tasks and pick up the ones nearby on your route. You can also chose to view the Tasks or Jobs of other staff and see how your day will relate (maybe even bring coffee to a crew nearby)

Crew leaders have the same abilitiy on their issued iphones. And can pick up small unassigned jobs nearby their Job for that day.

.......or so i've been told.

Oh $hit....jobber software is gonna be more expensive now!

haha no way! We have no plans right now to make any changes to our pricing.

And I don't think I could have said it better then Mangoes. That describes it pretty awesomely.

Pindrop app is really nice though and we could probably learn a few things with how it works.

I had a customer tell me they would have liked to be able to request a quote from my web page. I tell her I will look into it and wouldn't you know Jobber does that to!

I think you just made me a lifer Jobber!!

Cheers

Awesome! Hopefully we can keep impressing you for the rest of your life now. The web form is going to get an upgrade in the future but its still pretty neat. It will set a follow up reminder task for you so you don't forget to do that estimate or return the call.

cool. thanks for saving me the time to research the program. Ill let the sexy secretary ( my wife :eek: ) know that Jobber it is.

haha thats great! If you or her have any questions don't hesitate to reach out to us however you want.

Hopefully, someone is still paying attention to this thread.

Our company currently uses Arborgold, but I am not a fan. the software is clunky and the whole system has a Windows 98 feel to it that leaves you wanting more.(I'm a millennial techy)

Although Arborgold does allow us to do most everything we need, the software is not proactive, requires tons of manual steps and my field team doesn't like the mobile app at all. Half the time, we can't get our maps to work either.

We are looking into jobber and loving the look and feel of this software so far, plus the $160+ savings each month moving away from AG is a nice selling point.

Jobber seems to be set up in a fluid motion of following steps from customer creation to invoicing and the automatons will save countless hours of manual office work.

My main roadblock with jobber so far is using tasks for quote requests...
My arborists set up their own quote route each day based off the requests in their queue and 75% of the time we don't schedule the quote visit unless the customer has a preferred date and time.

I would love to hear how other tree companies are using jobber tasks for quote requests.

My goal is to leave all tasks unscheduled and just assign to estimators and let them schedule and complete as they see fit, but it seems the visibility for the estimators might get a bit confusing if the tasks are not scheduled.

Any advice on setting up SOP's for Jobber quote requests/tasks in a field friendly view would be greatly appreciated.

How easy is it to maintain a view of all tasks/requests to ensure that all quotes are being completed?

Thanks,

Glad to see other people out there bringing helpful software into the arboriculture field.
Did you end up using jobber?

Whoa, old thread!

I’m going to review again our software in a month and will look at all the options.

We used currently service ceo which works well enough for a staff of 10. They are no longer building it though and are trying to change all clients over to their workwave platform. It’s worth considering against Jobber but I’m not sure how they stack up. Havent looked at the options since 2014.

Get Jobber mate!

I've developed my own database using FileMaker Pro. I can keep track of each individual tree we perform services on, email tree inspections, inventories, proposals, and invoices to clients. I've tailored it to my own needs and it costs me nothing further. However I did have to spend many, many hours learning how to write and debug scripts in FileMaker Pro.

I'll put some screenshots up later, but you can see a partial screen shot here of the tree inspection page. http://www.streamlinetreecare.com/tree-health-care/tree-health-inspection/

The database is designed to be used on an iPad, but I currently use it on a desktop, because I haven't resolved all of my syncing issues.

Hello Mr. Butler,
I'm creating a Filemaker tree service solution for use here on the East Coast and I'm very interested in the solution you created. Also, I'm fairly fluent in Filemaker and would be glad to help with your syncing issues.
