I had a customer tell me they would have liked to be able to request a quote from my web page. I tell her I will look into it and wouldn't you know Jobber does that to!
I think you just made me a lifer Jobber!!
Cheers
Ben
cool. thanks for saving me the time to research the program. Ill let the sexy secretary ( my wife) know that Jobber it is.
Did you end up using jobber?Hopefully, someone is still paying attention to this thread.
Our company currently uses Arborgold, but I am not a fan. the software is clunky and the whole system has a Windows 98 feel to it that leaves you wanting more.(I'm a millennial techy)
Although Arborgold does allow us to do most everything we need, the software is not proactive, requires tons of manual steps and my field team doesn't like the mobile app at all. Half the time, we can't get our maps to work either.
We are looking into jobber and loving the look and feel of this software so far, plus the $160+ savings each month moving away from AG is a nice selling point.
Jobber seems to be set up in a fluid motion of following steps from customer creation to invoicing and the automatons will save countless hours of manual office work.
My main roadblock with jobber so far is using tasks for quote requests...
My arborists set up their own quote route each day based off the requests in their queue and 75% of the time we don't schedule the quote visit unless the customer has a preferred date and time.
I would love to hear how other tree companies are using jobber tasks for quote requests.
My goal is to leave all tasks unscheduled and just assign to estimators and let them schedule and complete as they see fit, but it seems the visibility for the estimators might get a bit confusing if the tasks are not scheduled.
Any advice on setting up SOP's for Jobber quote requests/tasks in a field friendly view would be greatly appreciated.
How easy is it to maintain a view of all tasks/requests to ensure that all quotes are being completed?
Thanks,
Glad to see other people out there bringing helpful software into the arboriculture field.

Get Jobber mate!Whoa, old thread!
I’m going to review again our software in a month and will look at all the options.
We used currently service ceo which works well enough for a staff of 10. They are no longer building it though and are trying to change all clients over to their workwave platform. It’s worth considering against Jobber but I’m not sure how they stack up. Havent looked at the options since 2014.

I think jobber should join our community here as a sponsor, right? Seems a lot of support here.Get Jobber mate!

..................................................... SEE BELOW ...................................................I've developed my own database using FileMaker Pro. I can keep track of each individual tree we perform services on, email tree inspections, inventories, proposals, and invoices to clients. I've tailored it to my own needs and it costs me nothing further. However I did have to spend many, many hours learning how to write and debug scripts in FileMaker Pro.
I'll put some screenshots up later, but you can see a partial screen shot here of the tree inspection page. http://www.streamlinetreecare.com/tree-health-care/tree-health-inspection/
The database is designed to be used on an iPad, but I currently use it on a desktop, because I haven't resolved all of my syncing issues.
