Enjoyed that Daniel. That little ornamental tree jumped right off the stump and flew away didn't it.

I once was on a survey project in Charlotte and we were some distance away from a massive Oak that must have been standing since the Civil War. I heard the saws but was not looking in that direction or even considering that they were cutting on that oak. I must have heard the cracking of the hinge and looked up just as it started to fall. For a moment, my frame of reference was thrown out of kilter and it seemed like the tree was standing and that the world was tilting away from underneath it.

At 3:30 I believe it was, did you have a second line supporting the stem against the lean, or just a really thick hinge holding on as you pulled it toward the road. Looked like a birch, right?

Daniel,

GREAT VIDEO MAN!

Very nice.

Enjoyed the whole thing.

I tell ya, not many tree videos out there that I watch until the end.

This one kept my interest the whole time.

Most other tree videos; I stop them at like 30 seconds.

You've got a good video there.

I hope my felling video turns out as good when I do it.

Nice compilation. If you take out your talking and add music, I think you will get better reactions to your videos.

It was a red maple.. laying on the roof... two blocks were set in the standing tree.. lifted off roof with the p/u truck, then pulled laterally with the skid steer as the lift lines were let out..

this is the complete video of that job.

Daniel, That was great man! My opinion, that was the best one yet. Thanks for taking the time with the vid and sharing. Interesting tree at 0:54 minutes. Love that song man. Thanks

Haha yeah I guess so

. Thanks for the links. You had a nice shot of the "Spar lower stump cut" or what have you in there. I'm pretty sure I've seen that footage before but Shows what you mean none the less. Anywho, cool vid

I enjoyed your video, Daniel. Thanks for sharing.

To echo Treestyler, can you tell us more about the steel pole tree? I'm totally puzzled on that one. I assume you used a bucket truck for the cut/rigging, but was it done just like a tree?
