Picked up one yesterday for $50. It still has all the stickers and bar chain looks original. My shop project this week, if when, we get the rain badly needed. I didn’t know it was 46cc and it’s heavy.

Well it’s the coil. Primary is open and secondary is low 1.3k. Now I have to find a new one. Old PN 1132 1302A. I “think” the replacement is 1132 400 1301 but, I’ll ask a buddy at the Stihl dealer. I’m thinking of using on ground for limbing

Yea, that sounds like a score bud. I am gonna have to start looking for something like that.

This is my least favorite saw I have ever had in my hands. It has a really bad weight distribution and the engine is always running terribly whether it’s new, old, 192 193 or 194, parts busting off, powerhead clunky and getting in the way.

But for $50 sure.

Wow. Someone should have warned me about the dumb handle setup. I mistakenly took it apart because it wasn’t smooth. Took me a while to get back together. Now I know why it’s almost a piece of junk. I got it started but won’t idle or run. It takes forever to get the carb out. It was too late to disturb the neighbors. I’ll see if it will run tomorrow.

I bought one of these brand new when they came out with my tax return money. It made me a lot of money in the short time I had it but I really disliked this saw. Heavy! The worst thing about it is the cheesy stamped steel lanyard clip that failed on me in the tree and the saw dropped to it's untimely death from about 40' up, on to concrete. Luckily no one was hurt. I tried to warranty it through Stihl stating the lanyard attachment was garbage. They said it was a wear item and should be replaced periodically. I asked where it says that in the user manual. It doesn't. They wouldn't do anything for me... Hated that saw! Good luck with it.

Mine sits on a shelf. Got it used and almost new condition. Climbed with it for a while. Till I could afford a better replacement. It's a back up saw now. I should dust it off, and get it running again. Perfect for working next to the chipper. Nice on small cuts. Especially when you have to push it through some brush to get that troublesome limb, blocking chipper entry. Nice for a loan ground man with getting a limb in the DZ, having only one hand available to run the saw.
