Hey,

I went to this college and graduated in 1995 and I run Arbor-X Inc. in Maryland.

I had written to ISA back in 1993 and asked them where is a good place I could go to learn more about tree care and tree service related education.

They highly suggested this college, even back then.

It really gave me a good education and I passed my Maryland Tree Expert Test with very little studying for it and I passed my ISA Certified Arborist Test years later with very little studying for it as well and I contribute most of the knowledge needed came from my college years.

This is only a 2 YEAR PROGRAM!

Graduates get 100% job placement before they even graduate.

We highly value any good student from this forestry program and fight to get them.

I just thought I'd pass this info on to anyone that might want to improve their education and become more valuable to an employer.

(hey and we even have a small scholarship we award to someone every year) Arbor-X Future Arborist Scholarship.

link to their webpage (great little video ad):

I'm with EZ Paul Smiths was a waste of 30K, but maybe I just spent to much time drinking.

Jeremy, I should a figured you were a Smitty.

Well, It didn't cost me that much but it was worth every penny. Best 2...errrahhh...uummhh 2 1/2 year party I ever went two.

I feel bad for you recent grads, 30 K and no pub on campus. What kinda forestry education is that, no pub on campus.

Of course I didn't throw the Christmas tree in the pool though.

cool, what state and where's the link?

I heard that there is only like 22 in the US and Canada.

Yeah I have been a teacher's assistant at Humber College for the past two years.

Humber is one of the very very few in Canada and the First one in North America to provide Crane Assisted Rigging in the arborist program.
