Teufelberger Drenaline 11.8mm

Any long term use input? Looking to maybe use it with an adjustable Bulldog bone. Also how is the hand? Similar to other Kernmantle ropes? I wasn't impressed with the knotability of the short hank of Yale Scandere I got to try out. How does the Drenaline compare in that regard. I climb both srt and ddrt so that feature appeals to me. Any input would be much appreciated gentlemen.

I love the xstatic. I’m using it for both srt and ddrt. Also interested in the drenaline, though. Someone let us know! My big question is how it feels in srt? I’m accustomed to htp, so even xstatic has a little bounce, but it’s not bad; just enough for peace of mind when climbing a dead tree from an adjacent tree. I want to know if drenaline would compare more to tachyon, which I haven’t liked for years for it’s insane stretch.

Drenaline runs pretty well in the bone, especially when new. Once it gets fuzzed up it's still pretty good but not great. Hand and knotability are excellent. I like the slaice alot, as well as the price. It's a bit stretchy especially in a tall base tie where almost the whole length of the rope is in play. I've only breifly used scandere and x-static but I thought both seemed like solid choices.
If you can deal with the thinner diameter, the km Max has been my favorite rope in the bone by far. I just wear the palms off my glove a little faster than the 11.7s.

Xstatic and marlow Vega are my next ropes ordering this week for NAOM. Parallel Core. I am a SRS snob though. No splices needed. Have rope for crane work.

They're awesome, like Spiderman gecko hands!
I do the dedicated crane rope too but having a rated eye is sometimes handy even climbing srt all the time.
Interested in the vega, is it a double braid?

I've been climbing on a 200' Hank of Drenaline for about 7 months now. I agree that is has great hand and knot-ability. It's not as stiff as htp and is one of the only lines that doesn't creep in my RR (that said I'm 200lbs). It works beautifully with a RR or RW+10mm epicord. The bounce is equal to my Tachyon but I like the slightly larger diameter and much smoother jacket of the Drenaline (multi-redirect retrievals are so smooth). I've only used it ddrt a few times - it worked great as expected. I like a little bounce in my lines so the extra stretch compared to Xstatic is a plus for me. Hope this helps.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Not a whole lot out there about Drenaline yet. I'm on Tachyon now and don't mind the bounce. How does the durability compare between the two? I'm not in love with how easy the tachyon picks.

@Barc Buster happy to help. Drenaline picks far less than Tachyon because the cover is so tightly sewn. It has barely fuzzed up in 7 months because I mainly climb srt. I do love the Tach but will probably buy another hank of Drenaline one this one wears out. Also, I've let a few climbers that run Yale 11.7 lines climb on the Drenaline and they love it because of the tight jacket and smooth decents (they use RRs and are a mix of different weights).
