[/ QUOTE ] Dave, I barely speak to anyone, the internet and work are the closest I have to a social life. I have nothing to say about arboriculture.

Changing the face of the industry? Personally I haven't noticed....when did this happen and how? No offence to the two gentlemen in question.

Hatered, are you real? I couldn't have been any more polite about it....and you still never answered the question.

Ive been in the job over 20 years and worked for lots and lots of different people....and am yet to notice these changes to Arboriculture that you speak of. So what are they?

Its just an honest question to a post that I didn't understand, thats all.

As far as I can see, LiveFreeorDie's statement about the Treemagineers is wild exaggeration.

I dont use any tools or equipment that have been designed by Treemagineers.

As far as I'm aware they have made no impact on my work as a climbing arborist unless of course they were involved with various legislation regarding the industry, even then the link is tenuous.

Not saying they havent added to the industry but to imply they are actively changing the face of it - I'm sure even the people in question would agree that this notion is misplaced.

Now if either Mark or Chris would want to send me a DMM Impact Block, Treemotion harness or a few Hitchclimbers free of charge, well....thats a different matter - I would seriously have to reconsider their collective impact on the industry.

What say you Mark and Chris?

ps, Shigo is the only person to have genuinely changed the face of arboriculture, thats my opinion so that makes it final.

Tahune Day 3, some very skillful work going on there, almost akin to a master craftsman.

i was simply making a joke with my hater-ade(as in gatorade) comment, apparently my humor is lost across the pond. i may have overstated their impact on the industry, but if you cant take an open minded look at the impact they have made with some of the rope tools and equipement that these guys have helped to bring to the arboriculture industry as a whole then we will have to agree to disagree. i would hope that someone that has spent that much time in the industry would appreciate innovation

Tyler, no problem here.

I guess I'm British, they're British, and I just didn't relate to your first post. You shouldnt joke about hate.
I'm aware of the saddle and the dmm pulleys, is there more?
