TCIA/Husqvarna Arborist apprenticeship?

Anybody do the Apprenticeship program through TCIA - either as an employee or employer? (I'm interested from the employer side...bringing somebody on and having a well-planned/intentional program to get them up to speed).

We used it as our template. It's very helpful. It's a lot of paperwork but so far it's been good. David seems to be happy with the quality of content as well.

When you say the template, did he officially go through as an apprentice or you used the curriculum but didn't "make it official"?
We set up a formal DOL apprenticeship. Our state agency had to work with TCIA to help us build a full program. It's complete with the whole TCIA course log, plus a bunch of extras we threw in (such as CDL, pesticide, tree inspector, etc).

He is currently an apprentice. A lot of it can be "self paced". We set up times for me to go over the school stuff with him and do practical exams.

Tcia also has their fast start program (could be wrong on what it's called). Essentially the catalog with less red tape.
