I usually cut river red gum. It’s more pink and all the same color not much sapwood contrast. Smooth white bark. This dark red stuff is really hard and brittle. Spiral grain.
Ahh. I had one Euc that was dark/purple on the inside, smooth whitish bark and it did not crack. Burned like coal. I git all of that I could to wood workers. Sent some from CA to Alaska - no hardwood there. (Gave USPS flat rate shipping something to talk about 10 at a time.
