who has tried the new Sterling 8mm RIT stitched eye & eye?

I haven't Luke but I believe I looked at some in Hartford at TCIA.

How is it to the touch Luke. Seems like it will hold up?

I have it Luke and love it. Can't really take the heat well on descends and very smooth running with the VT.
