Just curious what y’all do for foot and knee ascender sides? I’m curious about efficiency and competition. I’m right side dominant and I run foot ascender right and knee left. What ya got to say?

I'm left side dominant, but use the same setup (right foot, left knee). You could teach yourself the opposite without much trouble, but it's easier just to go with what feels more fluid.

I'm right Pantin left Haas right dominant. Feels like both legs push the same. Later occasional standing on Pantin feels natural right leg. The odd overuse right leg for awkward DRT long lanyard leg "hoisting" but saves the arms.

I was beat in an assent event by 71 years old Mr Binkley. Just kidding and trying to get faster. I was wondering what the comp guys do. Thanks

Ran 2 foot ascenders for a spell on some different 2 rope systems, which definitely displayed that I don’t think about my right but had to focus just a bit on my left. All the rest is Rfoot and Lknee.

From what I’ve seen and experienced over the years, efficiency in SRS really comes from a myriad of tuning your kit to you. Both tiny to radical adjustments can suddenly be the key to unlock ease and speed.

It seems like getting all the slop out of all the connections while still allowing full range of motion is the foundation. From there it’s lengthening this, shorten that, etc, all the while testing your stride.

Also, enough supplemental tail weight at the initial take off from the ground can shave lots of fussing off your time.
