I spliced up my version of the ABR ultra sling last night. I wanted to make it so that I use 100% of the sling so i buried the tail in the working end instead of leaving a 14 inch tail on the other end. Wanted to get some expert advise and your thoughts on using the bury in the system. I'm trying to upload picture but getting frustrated. File size too large. I'm new to the buzz and not really a computer guy. I'll get pics when I can figure it out. Thanks

2 years latter how does that hold up Steve? Did you ever get it break tested or just real work tests.
Looks like standard ultra sling with a locked brummel using only 1 end of the line.
Anyone else with actual experience using this configuration please let me know, thinking of putting a ring on the locked brummel single end line side with a tapered fid length bury.

It worked really great. Used it until it was ready for retirement. Rigged some pretty good sized chunks with it. The only thing is where the 2 ends meet in the bury, they make for a bit of an inconsistent diameter in the cordage but it's never presented a problem, only cosmetic in my experience. Never break tested one spliced this way, maybe in the future. Using the same style sling with a single ring now and love it
