It’s not supposed to stop till 6pm this evening.

Somebody from Alabama needs to buy this saddle for rec climbing. No regrets man...pull the trigger already.

Dude.....that's disgusting. We've got some thin ice on the ground here and I kinda want to die.

Bama decided to buy new. Oh well. Maybe another will come through. Eother way really. I'll keep the thread up for another week or so, then I'll probably just give up, buy CT adjuster and a new bridge and keep it set up for light pruning/rec stuff.

Hell yeah man. Good for you. Glad it sold. Now I can stop hijacking your thread with pictures of early dumps of snow. Total bs if you ask me. My yard work aint done yet and there’s about a foot of crap on it covering all the work to be done. Prolly won’t see it till spring now, unless it hits mid 50’s for a couple days, but even then who knows.

Dude, thanks for the thread bumps. We get by with a lil help from our friends.

This cold this early. Supposedly this has broken over 200 records nationwide. SMH. If we don't get a warm spell before it gets truly cold, my winter whiskey bill is going to be outrageous.

Winter whiskey bill huh? What whiskey if I may ask? Congrats on the sale by the way. Also, is it unprofessional to add a Miscellaneous charge to winter jobs to pay for whiskey?

I have a wide appreciation for whiskey, but some of my favorites are:

McAllen 12yr
Treaty Oaks ghost hill bourbon
Auchentoshan (a few different ones in that brand)
knob creek
buffalo trace

and being that trees are my sideline gig, there is a definite upcharge for working in the cold to fund the whisky. If it's unethical, then I'm unethical.

I am a big fan of whisky also...definitely dif the single malts, but my wallet doesn't so Bourbons are always a great affordable substitute...16 year Lagavulin takes the cake for me. Blantons is my go to bourbon with woodford reserve closely behind. For a real bargain and a shout out to my nations nectar I really like Alberta premium Dark Horse. Drink it neat and it will hold its own against most

16 Lag is amazing, but yeah, I can't always afford it (or the Mac 12). I've been living by the principle that if I drink less and less frequently, I can technically drink whatever I want on the same budget, but with weather this cold this early, I'll be wanting more than a single glass per week. For medicinal purposes, of course. I'll check out Alberta, though I may put a splash of something with it. No disrespect for the liquor of course, but so many bourbons get better with just a tiny bit of water. I've even been known to add a touch of unsweetened ice tea on occasion.

Do you enjoy cigars? I ask because for me the combination is greater than the sum of the parts. Never see one in my hand without seeing the other in my other hand.

As a matter of fact I am a big fan of cigars also...Nothing could be better then a dram of Laga 16 and a Monte Cristo #2 ...I know, its contraband in your country...but thankfully not here. In fairness Dominican, Nicaragua and Honduras have really stepped up there game and are competing with the Cubans for some of their Medero's. Unfortunately the rich earthy tones of a classic Cuban can never be replicated. Cheers

I hear kola bears are roasting at the moment y’all have snow. I’m basking in 50 degree moisture until christmas
