Slic Pin Key

Good demo, Paul. I like how you have it stowed.

What I like to do to eliminate the drop hazard is invert the carabiner while still connected to my bridge. Then I can swing open one side of the pulley and recapture. That way, when working on the main body pin, everything is still connected to either the rope, or to my bridge.

And it's a whistle!

I took off my whistle from the same lanyard while I made this little video and realised I no longer need it. The lower resonance of the slic key seems to penetrate into a sawyers ear defender better than the shrill sound of a normal emergency whistle, even from up a tree.

Very slic! This is out of left field, but I use several of those retractors on my fly fishing vest. Very handy. Never thought of using them at work. Thanks for making the video.

I like the chest harness attachment! Definitely nice to have in the cold weather. I realize it isn't a necessity, but I find it to be like many tools, it helps make the job easier. That, and it keeps your hands from freezing.

The production version looks great John. You did a nice job bringing it to the marketplace. Hopefully you this year we can find some time to do some climbing together.

Still no reply from Shelter Tree about importing the new Slic Key/Whistle(!). Oceans, perhaps you could give someone a poke for me?

Hi SoftBankHawks - Let me know how I can help with SHELTER Tree. I haven't received any contact from anyone and will be glad to work with you for importing Slic-KEYs.
