After posting the Whoopie Foot-loop concept video some time ago, it occurred to me that I could further simplify the foot-loop. I eliminated the 'back-splice' tail and simply buried the tail. The splice was lock-stitched, double-whipped and frapped at the beginning of the taper instead of the throat of the splice. This allowed the foot-loop to be opened and closed by simply collapsing the splice as can be seen in the following video link:
