Simple rope tensioner

To make a Spidey-like comment, it's tension dependent meaning what you tension with it has to have inherent spring to keep load on to generate friction. If a bump or jiggle dropped the tension to zero it would release because , I think, it's not quite a (self?) cinching configuration. Not quite self cinching is what makes it easy to release, though. So good for spongy/springy loads. Don't tie a bundle of boards with it IMO.
