Job Overview:
· Responsible for the daily leadership of arborist staff, ensuring safety, and customer satisfaction, in a rural, cottage environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Adhering to a working knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act, WSIB, Arborists Safe Working Practices and other related Acts, Rules and Regulations.
· Implementation of In-house safe work practices, training, and a “Systems Approach “ to Cost/Project Analysis, Inventory, equipment and staffing
Skills and Abilities
· Proven leadership/communication skills in a team environment, capable of leading and executing the highest standards of safety; quality in pruning, removals, and preventative tree care.
· Ability to convey your ideas clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing. You are a progressive thinker, and based on your experience, you act intuitively, show initiative and determination.
· Advanced climbing skills, familiarity with crane removals
· Competent operation of chainsaws, chippers, stumpers, and other heavy machinery.
· Ability to work in remote locations and adverse conditions
Education and Training
· Graduate from a Forestry/Arboriculture program with 5+ years of progressive Arboriculture experience
· Current I.S.A. Certification.
· A clean Driver’s Abstract - MTO “D” license preferred.
· Current First Aid and C.P.R.
