Any tips on fixing the charger port? I messed around with a sacrificial Sena and my soldering iron is too blunt and too hot. I eventually got the charger port to release but melted parts of the connectors together.
If you’re going to solder something that tiny, you need the right equipment for it; a variable temperature iron with a really fine point for one, and the right solder and solder wick as well. I have a friend who works on boards like that, but I won’t touch them, I don’t have the tools or the fine motor control.
What did you pop out and put back in? I have known the charger ports themselves to fail. I was trying to learn to remove and replace the charger port on a sacrificial one that didn't work. I ended up destroying it but I thought that plugging it in and unplugging it repeatedly for charging Bourke the solder joint with the flex and movement over time...just a hypothesis...hard to tell after i destroyed it.
