The University of Washington Botanic Gardens-Washington Park Arboretum, is seeking a qualified Arborist (Gardener Lead) for a full-time position. The Washington Park Arboretum is designated as the State Arboretum and contains one of the premier tree and shrub collections in the US. It is internationally known for its Acer, Quercus, conifers, Sorbus, Ilex, and Magnolia holdings. The arborist’s primary responsibility is leading and implementing the Tree Care Program, which includes all aspects of arboriculture.

yeah, it's my favorite arboretum of the half dozen i've been to. i have to say, leon's old digs in honolulu is right up there though, and i didn't even get a chance to look around we were so busy trying to set up a zipline before dark .

hey everybody, i just found out the deadline for application on this position has been extended until may 15. gotta be a sweet job for someone - come take care of our fabulous arboretum!

hello all,

just checked into the arborist position posted above and was told by the university of washington HR people that the postion had closed March 31st.... no extension.... just thought this might save somebody the time and trouble
