Samson Vortex - Core or Cover dependent or both?

I have some that is barley used with a few cut cover strands here and there.

Vortex to the best of my knowledge is double braid, about 30-70 to 40-60..

Which is the higher number core or cover?

Far as I know, all double braids hold more strength on the core.
Only time this doesn't apply is for our 16 strand ropes that are technically a double but as most of us know the core is a filler and not load bearing.

Is that the same for 24 strand double braid?
