Sad Loss

Another fatality, 37 year old former Royal Marine who served in Iraq and Afghanistan - he was relatively new to treework. Not sure of exact details of accident but heard he was struck by the section of timber he was cutting.

Condolences to his family. Unfortunately there is scant information that we could learn something from this. What gets me is calling it a freak death. It’s a preventable incident and needs to be viewed as such.

Respect to the fallen. Hopefully he will be remembered for his courage in service and not picked apart for trying to walk down a new alley, God knows we are all in some form of jeopardy every day we do this work. May he rest in peace.

How awful. My deepest sympathies to his family and all that that knew him.
Sounds like he was an amazing man. Gone much too soon, but accomplished more than most will throughout a long lifetime.
