It is my understanding that in order to remove a tree within the city of Atlanta a permit is needed. In this case who is responsible for any fines that may incur.....the tree co. or the homeowner???

You are correct, I believe the minimum is 4" for hardwoods and 6' for pines. Above those dbh's you need a City permit. Contact Ainsley Caldwell at 404-865-8487. He is the man in Atlanta and he can give you all the correct info.

Fine...........I am staying out of it. With no work there is not much to do!
