Rope Vs. Cable for zip line

hey guys, im thinking of setting up a modular zip line in which i can set up for a few days every few weeks for a camp. Now, i understand UV deterioration on rope, hence why it would be put away, but would it be possible to use a static rope or a really stiff bull rope (brand new of course) to use as the line? as well, i was thinking of just using a block and tackle with locking off the end to tighten the line.

Thanks

Tyler

Cable seems like a better choice. You can have a supply company swage on thimbles/eyes for a secure anchor.

Before you set this up you need to have a very complete mathematical understanding of the forces on the anchors in order to size the anchors and cable correctly.
