Rope Runner on MRS

Would like to get people's experience running the Rope Runner on a moving rope system. Want to know if anyone has made anything to separate the rope from rubbing the top of the rope runner.
I know it's for SRS that's why asking here.

California swivel looks good.
Is there any or many people running the rope runner MRS?
Maybe there just not much to talk about it...

I don’t have a runner, but know a couple guys who use it for mrs. Apparently it’s sweet for crane work.

I second the Cali swivel or rook.

When you talk about using the runner in MRS, are you referring to both ascent and descent? I see no reason why ascending on SRS and switching to MRS on descent wouldn't be a good idea, unless it slows the device to the point of possibly having to hand feed the line through the device. Perhaps someone who has tried it can chime in.

When I played with it, it was kind of bunchy. I had to pay too much attention to the device. It tended and decsended fine, but flopping around and getting things wedged in places was an issue.
And it still wasn't anywhere near as smooth as the hitchclimber setup.

I use my runner for everything. Always ascend on srs but occasionally find the need for mrs on descent. Especially on crane jobs. I use the ABR radius ring on my bridge. I biner the runner on top and the second biner for mrs under the runner biner. Never had a bunching issue or felt like the attachment leg of the mrs system would cause an accidental disengage of the runner . Orient the lead of your rope below or on the spine side of the runner and you should be golden but like anything watch your slop. Slop in the system is whats gonna get you in a jam.

I don't use it for MRS all that often but it works great when I do. I use a small rigging plate on my bridge. It helps keep the rope out of the bird on the runner. It's still in there a little but doesn't seem to affect anything.
