Root Pruning

I have a client who insists on doing a major root pruning project for a community. We will probably be root pruning along a distance of around 2500 feet. I have done root pruning on a smaller scale, but this will require a better piece of equipment. Before I make any purchases, I'm wondering the following: what do you think is the best product/equipment for doing a large root pruning project?

2500 ft = 8 football fields. Wow.

Depends on soils and budget etc. I know a local guy who will rent out a X-HFA, with operator, at least til yall git the hang of it. http://www.supersonicairknife.com/airknifespecs.shtml
