$60 is kinda pricey, IMO. the locking feature is cool but I think I could be just as happy without it. That being said I'll probably end up with one unless the dmm comes in significantly less expensive.
The shem biner looks interesting but I would be a bit nervous about moving about without the saw on a lanyard.

The dmm version is up for sale at some European retailers. They are promising delivery in February. Non locking is going for about $40, locking $50.

I'll buy one.. I mean, it's Rock Exotica, right? No underpaid Chinese workers were abused in its production. Work of art. I bought a couple of these Assault Stainless carabiners a year or so back... forty bucks a pop. Rock Exotica at its finest. Action is so smooth and slick, and tough as nails. Tougher, actually. Bit heavy, though. Don't care. Sometimes you just want something you know you are never going to need to replace because it broke, for some purpose where quality means less headaches in the long run.

I think I had my hands on one of the DMM's at the show. If I recall correctly the locking version was a pita. I think the RE will become the more popular of the two locking versions. While $60 bucks sucks (understandable in todays world though), I have more than that in gear that collets dust in my gear bag. At least I know this will get use on a constant basis.
