Rock Exotica Omni Block Review

i like your review, doesn't leave one with a lot of questions about the block.
sometimes i will attach a pulley to a piece im rigging, and tie off the end of the rigging line at the rigging point, creating a MA to lift or pull a piece the way i need to. because of the swivel this block seems ideal for this technique.

Thanks for the photo credit. I love this block. Like my hero the arborist of darkness it's either rings or this. The blocks only come out for rigging huge stuff. Luckily I rarely do that.

Nice write up(y).
There was a form with the new 2.6 rock exotica a bit ago and talk that the WLL was 20 kN but that doesn't seem right to me. Mind you I don't have the 2.6 but the MBS from the picture is 80 kN and 40 kN a side. At a 5:1 usual minimum safety or working load that would be a 8 KN load, 16 kN at the block tie off or branch tie in and 8 kN at the anchor or base of tree. That's how I calculate it. The listing of a WLL of 20 kN could have some thinking they could put that much force with the load. That would only be a safety factor of 2:1. I wouldn't do it. It does say 2o kN WLL right on it though. Someone enlighten me what the 20kN WLL means on this device. Maybe it's 10 kN a side and 20 kN at the swivel with a 4:1 safety factor, yes?

I think I enlightened myself, just don't know why a WLL would go from the standard minimum 5:1 to 4:1 so it has a higher number for the WLL. Don't get me wrong this block looks awesome! I'll pick one up one day but i'll stay with the 5:1 even just for my own comfort.
