Rhode Island

Any buzzers heading the the Rhode Island comp on the 19th? See you there if so.
I still believe there should be a 20' cheeseburger speed climb for the larger climbers of the world. Hang a greasy cheeseburger 20' off the ground and see some fine climbing from the over 260 lb field.

I actually just looked here a few minutes ago to see if there was a thread about this. I will be there. I vote that instead of tapping a bell in the work climb you must consume a White Castle burger at every "cut".

Great idea. If the idea doesn't comply with the rules and regs of the comp, screw them...we can have a mock comp somewhere else. Add the big shot to the list of events.

I'll be there, the New England chapter always puts on a great event. Are you guys competing? On a more important note why the hell don't we have White Castle here?!?!

It looks like there is one spot left. ATL you have not registered yet it seems............... do it.

Haha, not quite on the competing level yet. Maybe next year.

It's all about learning. You'll be even more ready next year!

Dang and I was just about to register! Lol, just kidding. See, my gut is a strategic training weight. After I check out this competition I will start training and after I am like greased lightning I loose 15 lbs and I will be untouchable! I was stuck in the utility arb world for a while so I still have a lot to learn about rope techniques. I do feel that in the short time I have been climbing with ropes, I think I am doing pretty good. So happy I got out of the utility work when I did. Anyways, I will be there and hope to meet some of you guys.

ABL, did you get that Tachyon? I still haven't made it down your way. I was headed to the comp until my wife reminded me of our sons 5th B-day. DOH! I remember the date, I just never know when the darn party is. Maybe I'll get down to Rhodie next month. Hope you like the rope, I sure do.

I have not yet, I went to Shelter to check it out and ended up spending the funds on other stuff haha. I just haven't got around to placing the order yet. I actually have to go there to pick up a pole they ordered me so maybe I will grab it if they still have it.

Mainly for the t-shirt order (names going on the shirts)... Candy is being patient with us, but we gotta get the names to her asap and we're dealing with so many other loose ends, we just decided to call it.

Man you should have registered just for fun it doesnt matter what place you come in.
At the TUFC in NashvilleI timed out on the FL last year after I had my foot tangled in the rope. When I came down everbody was like "WHAT? I didnt know you could timeout!"

But I did good on the AR and other events and learned alot about myself and what I needed to work on. There were guys there that smoked me and guys with even more experience that I did better

Going is good though even if you don't compete. You will walk away with plenty of knowledge and friends. Might even get some free goodies if you play your cards right.

Thanks Isaiah, with this being my first one I will check it out and then know exactly what I am in for next year. See how everything works and know what I will need to do. Really looking forwards to meeting some other buzzers and maybe even open some new doors.
