I cannot find them at any echo dealer near me... minimum hour of travel for a saw shop that makes them off the spool.
Are you guys ordering them?
I got a 2511, 355, and 501...it would be great to find somewhere I could just order them from

How do you define a real professional chain? What chain are you looking for? Why does it have to come off the spool at the retailer?

I usually order chain loops.

(waiting for comments about "real professional" and "echo" being used in same sentence. I had a 355 that was pretty good, but you gotta know those comments are coming ... LOL)

Loggerchain.com
Or Baileys,
Madsens, lots of places sell loops of chain. I make mine off rolls and haven’t bought a loop for decades. Does echo take unusual drive counts? I have several 2511’s, don’t recall the dl’s off top of my head

Click the 'chainsaw chain selector' on the left, plug in the model/specs stamped on the bar and it will come up with lots of good chain options for your saws.

(nothing wrong with Echo saws as far as I'm concerned, seem to be a good value but I only own two climbers)

Chains without the extra rakers on them that come on all echo chains. Any real pros here would know wtf I'm talking about

Yah, the anti-kickback feature. Basically all homeowner chain has that and many but not all pro chain does these days.

For example the Stihl chains with the 'green label' are the anti-kickback models, 'yellow label' don't have it.

So what chain do you want? There are dozens of options that aren't ANSI B175.1 rated (low kickback) if that's what you mean by "real professional".

What limitations are you finding with the ANSI-rated chains? That may help getting recommendations for the appropriate chain.

Cutter single raker. The standard pro chains that Stihl and husky offer. I mean if there's anything that cuts faster I'll take it but I got a newborn so I don't have time nor care about doing any conversions to run different bars and chains...

I run all mine stock... Well I actually just got those mesh air filters for my 2511t and 355t and I've only ran the 2511t and it seems to really help. Really looking for a good chain for the new 501p, got an 18 on it now that came with it. But I just need to find a supplier that stocks or makes pro chains

So now's not the time to learn to sharpen square chain LOL.

Full chisel if it's going to stay really clean. Otherwise look at full chisel.

For example, if it's .325 and .050, I like Oregon 20LPX PowerCut chains. Should be widely available in different loop sizes.

Use the Bailey's or Oregon chain finder tools as chain models change with pitch and gauge. Not sure what is stock on those saws. It'll be stamped on the side of the bars.

i have a kid too, and I would recomend the oregon kit. haven't tried the other conversions, but it was an obvious improvement that took less time to swap than one rpund of sharpening. i went to 14", and have just a modest cut open in the exhaust as my only mod, which took 5 minutes with a dremel and screwdriver; also very worth it. i was then able to get husqy chain, though not a yellow chain. i don't mind the green chains, though I am taking notes here, as I am about ready to buy new chain for the first time since the epic 2 for 1 i jumped on 2 years ago.
