You know, I knew the answer to my question before I asked it, but I asked it anyway. There obviously shouldn't be a way to skip the most important part of the job...that first connection. It is reassuring when you pull onto a site with your equipment ready to do the job and your client already knows you, your name, work ethic, reliability, honesty, and all the reasons they chose you to do the job.
Because we are an owner run and operated company we tend to devalue our time because we are so used to making sacrifices and putting everything into our company. Thanks for the opinions and support.

That sir is exactly why I personally like to just go to work and do what I'm told! There isn't anymore "everything" left to give. My everything reserve pissed out quite a long time ago. Plus the obvious other crap that goes along with being boss. For instance. The other CDL driver quit today. There are now 3 cdl trucks and one driver(me), plus the boss but he only works when the crane works. I am also down to 2 ground guys, neither of them can even tie a knot much less run a saw, rope, or rake for that matter. Drove an hour to work yesterday to get cancelled 10 min before work started then got a bunch of crap because I was pissed. Could got the heads up when I texted at 530 to see if we were working but he never responded to me. See employees suck, even me. Just another headache of running a biz. All the decent ground guys grew up to be climbers. The rest are in jail or high. At least around here.
