A friend of mine who happens to be a landscaper, go figure, is in the market for a chipper.

He found a Vermeer BC625A with 35 hours for $6,500
on Craigslist.

Sound like a deal?

I ask because I have never used this machine.

Thanks for your thoughts!

EZ:

BC625 variants are an excellent landscaper's chipper.

Ten inch wheels means little to no highway travel.

6,500 for 35 hrs is an OK price, but real easy to unhook the clock meter. One look at the anvil will tell the tale on that...

I can pick up the same here with 100-1000 honest hours for $4,500 to $5,000. Not a screaming deal, but if 35 hrs is true, a negotiable one.

I own a bc625 and it is a good runner. A friend bought a demo unit for $5500 but it had more than 35 hours on it. Mine had more hours but I got a hell of a deal for only $1700 but just bought a bigger chipper so might be in the market to sell it.
