Joshua,

You are young and know little.

I am old and know little.

By "This thing" I guess you mean the internet.

I agree with you on that, I would have learned alot sooner how much I don't know.

i felt it was just time for me to be honest. i was running into soo much trouble. i wana just restart and wipe the slate clean, do things the right way this time. i have a hard time since i like to do everything my own way and dont like to be told what to do. thats why i started my own business and am not looking for a job with anyone anymore and one of my fears is i dont know enough to be a climber for a tree company yet. i dont want to be on the ground crew for years when my climbing talents are being wasted. know what i mean? im sorry, i just feel really bad about talking all big when im not. the TCI experience was eye opening for me because i didnt fully understand how much i lie to myself until that happened. they were right and i was wrong and that the honest truth. i didnt get screwed, they did and i wish i could go back and makes things right again. it has been bugging me alot lately. eric if your reading this, please accept my appology man. you didnt deserve what i put you through.
i am just a dumb kid that took advantage of your kindness and leanred a valuable lesson to not jump the gun. i wasnt ready for it and i wish i could make things right again. im sorry.

the tree care industry is full of great people and i think i was taking advantage of that becuase i wanted to fit in. i just feel really bad that i have been cheating myself and jumping the gun when i know im not ready for it ll yet.

Joshuatrees,

You sound like a born entrepreneur. You stick with that.

I've spent my entire life expecting that my boss, corporation or employer has my best interests as at least a second thought. Never count on this.

I am one hell of an employee, I'll bust my gut, day in day out. It's a dead-end.

You go Josh, learn, and go!

Good job Josh. Its not easy to do a 180 on a point of veiw you have had for a while especialy when it drug all over the internet. Im the king of this. Oh how I wish you had been on here a few years back when I posted nothing but negatives....even went on some spikless(it cant be done) rants LOL! Yes it can be done btw. Anyways. Im glad you posted this because I just couldnt figure out how Eric and the TCI gang could be so bad. Im going to work with them and feel better now.

You missed one...

Just kiddin Javi, they look good, and 1.5hrs is smokin!

Hang in there Josh. Just admitting you're wrong is big. I have a policy to always operate brain before keyboard... doesn't always work for me either, but nobodys perfect.

Josh,

That honesty to yourself and the TB community at large is a good step forward.

A simple thing that you can do is write your post in Word or whatever, sit on it for a day, reread it, remembering your personal goals, then edit, copy, paste, post.

I don't think that people want an honest Joshuatrees to go away.

i know you guys can see right through me and know im full of shet. im admitting to it. im ready to move on and do things the right way.

i didn't start from raking or as a groundie for years before i was climbing. i had the option to choose climbing over ground work and self taught allot of it and i have only as much tree knowledge as is available to the internet. still haven't bought the ISA study guide and have not become a member of the ISA. i dont work trees as much as you might think.
i mainly push a mower all day and pull weeds for a landscaping company which i have been doing for 5 years. when we get tree jobs im the one doing them but for the most part its lawns, irrigation and shrub, palm care. im like a kid in a candy store when i get to climb a tree and make money.

Josh, do you know 'ole' Daniel Enso over there? Why don't you hook up with him and learn a few things- particularly how to act like a "tree man". In all seriousness, look him up and work with him a bit!

i know dan. not too well though. he seems like a reallly cool guy!
id like to work with him a bit but im not sure how the economy is affecting his business and im a bit hesitant to ask since we are all suffering from the economical slow down..
