Protos clear integrated specs

I had my doubts but I have to say I love my protos. I look kinda space age but I love it,
Yeah, total super hero shit.

Love the helmet, but didn't care for the glasses. They shift around on me and don't stay over my eyes, i found them to be a bit of a bother
mine move around a bit, but I don't think I mess with them any more than regular ones. I can't wait to try them on a rainy day. The way they rest on my face I feel like y will not fog up as bad. They haven't seemed to collect eyebrow sweat as much for the same reason. Angled away from my face at the top.

I didn't get clear but I good guy just gave me a lightly tinted pair. LOVE THEM.They are awesome definitely don't fog up due to the way they sit on the face , I've tried hard to fog them and have no trouble foggin up just about any glasses in these humid ass conditions. Really digging them so far especially cause I can't lose them very easy. Always with my helmet. Real good setup how they hide up in there .. Really glad I bought protos all around legit working cap!

Next helmet I get is gonna be a protos with the sena and visor. I get crap in my eyes all the time even wearing safety glasses.

Do any of you guys used the full visor instead of the mesh version. Does it fog up or get hot? I wesr glasses so tight fitting safeties don't work, I love the mesh but dome chips still get in.

Do you have the coarse mesh of fine mesh ?
I have both. The fine mesh is MUCH easier to see thru; less distracting.

Are "chips" going thru, or around the sides ?

I am assuming it its the coarse mesh but I do not know actually. I have the one that came stock from Treestuff. It is coming through the screen, it's not so much the chips as much as it is the saw dust. I actually noticed it more when I was at Salute to Branches. I was on the ground and was getting floating stuff from above that would come right in.

When I bought mine, there was no standard for the mesh. Both were stocked. You could ask for either.
If you didn't ask, they just sent whatever they had, or wanted to.

Fine Mesh Openings: ~ 1.0 mm W X 1.3 mm H
Coarse Mesh Openings: ~ 2.2 mm W X 3.0 mm H

Hé guys, I know this is not vizor related, but there are a lot of Protos users here.
I have one of the first that hit the market. In my helmet there is a rivet in the top back of the helmet that keeps the webbing in its place. Is that only in the older versions or do all the helmets still have that rivet?
Mine has turned green. Could that be copper green?

Wolter

It is probably brass... which is a copper/zinc alloy, so yeah... the green color is the oxide form of the copper.
This is why they don't make nut cups out of copper or brass... your balls would turn green when you sweat.

Mine got green too.

My guess is that both of the above are either European or Prototype models.

I bought the first one sold in America.
It does not have webbing; but uses a green plastic honey comb in the top with a small foam pad directly at the top of the head.

There were a few others in the USA, that other folks have & that preceded mine.
These were "certification samples" that were then distributed; but not sold.

No, it's the snap that is the main connection for the chin strap webbing. Mine is from tree stuff. Not an early bird on that one.

Absolutely correct. Mine is green, and corroded, too. The washer under it is not corroded.
(Therefore, the attachment rivet is corroding. Copper, brass, ................)

Someone was doing a careful inspection of their equipment ! ! !
