/yes; this is what i sent to the university folks
On March 21, I and other arborists hope to climb the Fairchild Oak in Tomoka State Park. Along with removing dead branches and other risk management and health care work (following the attached systems), we are interested in doing an inventory of plant and animal associates growing in and on the tree. We would be able to record images and collect some samples for identification and analysis. I seek your help and guidance in this work--what to look for that may be significant, how to collect samples, where to send them, etc.

>We also hope to thin out the understory, to lessen competition for the oak. If you know of anyone who may be interested in any aspect of this effort, or even participating on March 21, we would love to hear from them.
