Announcing Notch Equipment's Project Puerto Rico!

Notch Equipment has organized a group of amazing volunteer arborists with the mission of heading to San Juan, Puerto Rico to help repair some of the lingering damage done last fall by Hurricane Maria.
We have been working closely and planning this mission with one of the most accomplished arborists on the island, Miguel Cebollero. Miguel has taken charge of identifying locations that are in desperate need of our assistance, and he’s been lining up the logistics at that end. Stateside, we’ve been collaborating with Carlos Rodriguez, an experienced NATS instructor and Puerto Rico native. It’s been a long planning process, but Miguel, Carlos, and Tripp Wykoff (Sherrill, Inc. CEO) are committed to moving this forward, and we now have a good plan that’s worth sharing.
We will travel to Puerto Rico on Saturday, June 10th and stay for the week. We will join other Puerto Rican workers who want to work alongside our volunteers. Working with local crews will be fun, plus it will amplify the overall impact and also demonstrate best practices in safety and technique which they will benefit from greatly.
We are going to be working with four nonprofit organizations that desperately need our help:

- Fundacion Luis Muñoz Marin / Parque Doña Inés Mendoza, a small Botanical garden in the San Juan area.
- Parque Luis Muñoz Rivera, a very old urban park in the San Juan area.
- Jardin Botanico de Caguas, a botanical garden in the Caguas area, south of San Juan.
- Albergue Olimpico de Salinas - National Puerto Rican athletes school and training center near Salinas, on the south side of the island.
