A rope ring is interesting. I'll have to give it done thought, but it is interesting.

Maybe some sort of double bridge configuration? To keep 2 tie in systems sort of separate? U could weight one and un clip the other or vise versa. This way u could put your weight on one system or the other without moving side to side like a typical double tie in. Not sure, just spit balling

Thanks for the comments. I am planning to get more tests done using something less slippery than Amsteel Blue. I agree a rope ring is interesting. The ways of making trustworthy rings involve stitching the ends inside the outer layer. More testing may provide some reassurance.
