Pinto Pully on main climb line

does anyone use the pinto pulley on their main climb line. It looks like things could be even a little smoother than the hitch climber since the spliced end of you climb like is completely out of the way. Just wondering if anyone climbs with the pinto as their slack tender.

I tried it for a short period and it did stay out of the way but it doesn't pull up on your system the way the hcp does even though it looks like it would have a similar effect. I would recommend having both anyway. The pinto is excellent on your lanyard.

Yes and Yes, I like the pinto pulley, very simple.

BOTS how do you keep the climb line from wearing on the eyes of the hitch cord with that set up?

You don't. That's why a hitch cord like OP 8mm is a better choice. It wouldn't take very long to a braid those eyes.

Jman, the inner core is already braided. But if you are talking about abrasion on the eyes then I agree with you.

haha yes. what you said. my spelling is terrible and I depend a lot on spell check. it was close enough :)

I used an 8mm beeline prusik and the ware was not pretty. I don't have a pic but there must be a better way, like go on the outside of the pulley. It just looked all neat on the inside.
