I would encourage all climbers to come out and compete. Penn-Del has a good apprentice catagory for climbers with less than two years experience, We have plenty of top notch climbers as well.
One of the things I have always liked is that the organizers go out of their way to match less experienced climbers in groups with experienced climbers.
I have learned tons over the years and strongly encourage all to give it a try. Watching is one thing, but doing is another. I have embarrased myself many times and have no regrets, only a bunch of funny stories and good memories. Ask Roachy he'll tell you about a few of my escepades!

Show up, men and women, I and the rest of the "regulars" will do all we can to help you have a sucessful day.

Pancake,

The east comp fills up quick, but there are always a few "out of towners"

Rich,

You don't have to compete with or against us. My best comps are the ones where I put everybody else out of my mind and challenge myself. Win or lose, if you improve and learn then you have succeeded.

Riggs,

Are you running the footlock again?

Oh yeah Tony . This will be my 20th tcc ( competitor/chair). always a great time seeing people get better every year . I'm stuck with the Flyers , Sixers and Phillies I have to cheer for something . Good luck , Roach looks like he has a little grey behind the ears .

Well , Roach , I'm sure you got the same email I just got about the scoring . I was just ribbing you , in my last reply . good job on sat . It would be a crime if climbers didn't get better after every TCC . We had twenty one journey men and eleven apprentice ( first time competitors) People ask me all the time ,"why bother? it's a wasted work day" I saw many tcc climbers , doing everything to help these guys . It's a pleasure to see a climber rise up from apprentice to chapter champion. There is only one winner , but I don't think anyone loses either. Hats off to Tim Bushnell for putting it all together , and the climbers for showing up . I went to the tavern down the road when it was over , ten minutes before the Kentucky derby , placed ten (dollars)down on Tioga , I lossed.

Of course I got the E-mail Glenn and its all good The masters wins it not the prelims. But your right on two counts, great to see some new climbers rising to the challange and yea I am getting slower
