Their 12 strand hollow braid sling rope is fantastic. It is so far the easiest to work into challenging splices, and it has the highest MBS. It seems to be a durable rope, but only time will tell now.Any feedback on “the ape” or other rigging ropes from Pelican?
Please let us know if you get any hockling in the line when you use it. All the rope that has been manufactured in the last 10 years or so, hockles in lengths over 200' due to manufacturers outsourcing the fibers to cheaper made lines...from what I've been told. Thanks everyone. Ended up buying 300’ of 9/16 ape. Got a decent deal on it. I’ll check back in when I get some time on it
Will do. After a few uses I like to milk my ropes. Climbing and rigging. Seems to help a bit with hockling. Not a cure all but it helps. Please let us know if you get any hockling in the line when you use it.
