Park from scratch

Is this gpoing to be a maintained area? If so, keep in mind the mowers and space them accordingly. I've see too many trees damaged because the mowers try to squeeze through an area. Try to create areas of plantings that the mowers do not have to go. just my 2cents on parks.

Thanks for all the great ideas guys. This project is going to be a limited use walking park with a wetland area to the rear. An engineering firm which no longer has our town contract is doing the work and suggestions for alternate tree plantings is due the 16th of Sept. The shadetree commission in town approached the council with concerns about the abundance of ashes and maples slated to be planted. All of the ideas here about tree selection and installation is greatly appreciated and will be used to build the case for more variety. It is good to draw from the wealth of knowledge here to solidify one's case. Thanks again and please if anyone has an idea float it by the forum.
