Online chainsaw retailers?

Hello. I used to buy my Husqvarnas at npeco.com. They were a GREAT deal. I do some business with my local dealers, but I'm looking outside the 2 big guys (Husq and Stihl) this time. I feel like the 200t is overpriced (flame away, i know they're great saws, just too much) and I can't find a 338xp online anymore.

I am really interested in giving Jonsered and Dolmar top-handles a try, but have no time to visit dealers.

I want to buy a quality top-handle online, and am not interested in Red Max or Echo. Mainly looking for suggestions for online retailers of mid to high-end top handles. Thanks.

Have you tried calling and asking Bailey's yet? A couple of times they've been able to send me to the source of a product they were familiar with but didn't keep in stock.

That's a good idea, Wort. I'll try it out, have to call Bailey's anyway.

I have to call them specifically about the "Weed Dragon" they sell. Anyone have experience with this product? It destroys plant cells and leaves your weeds crispy without putting out pesticides.

I like the idea, and may order one for my house.

Anyway, thanks. More information wanted, if anyone looking has a source for online chainsaw-buying.

Norm,

I have totally been considering the 2139t.

I really would buy one today if I could find an online retailer. I go around in circles when I start googling "Buy Jonsered chainsaws online."

I hate crappy websites!

Thanks a bunch, Roger. Really appreciate it, I may give a call later today and explore this opportunity.

Thanks again, this may be my answer, as long as he can ship it to me!

The newer J-reds are Huskies with a few cosmetic differences. Reliability is excellent. The older J-reds where also dead reliable and nice saws.

Pretty sure he means that he ran a 372xp, which looks mighty similar to the Jonsered. There seems to be a large contingent of people that believes Jonsereds ARE less-expensive Husqvarnas.

I have no comment, having run no Jonsereds, but I tend to believe it anyway - maybe just wishful thinking.

I ran the Husky 372XT which is the Husky version of the 2172 IIRC. Nice saw. Most J-Reds do have a Husky counterpart. In my area they are priced pretty much equal for some reason. 2153=346 Husky, 2172=372XT Husky, 2188=390 Husky, etc.
