North American Hands -On Climber/Crane Training

I would like to just take a moment to help paint the picture on what to expect for this workshop. It starts with a meet and greet on Thursday evening where we will lay out the course schedule and show a PowerPoint to discuss the theory behind the methods we will employ.

Then the real fun begins with the hands-on portion. We will seperate into two groups. Each group will have an in-tree instructor to help discuss each move before it is made and keep everyone safe. Each climber will learn different rigging techniques, estimate weights, learn different cutting techniques, work positioning and then find out how much it weighed (with the aid of the two Grove cranes we will be using).

Each day ends with a wrap up and discussion about what we did and what questions might have been overlooked.

We will spend a lot of time together as a group and that will help fasciltate learning for all of us. We will have experts on hand to discuss ANSI and OSHA requirements. We will also have a field day to take advantage of where gear will be on display to see and purchase and we will have equipment demos as well. We will have equipment present to process the material too.

All in all, this is one of the most practical and enjoyable workshops I have ever seen or participated in. I look forward to seeing you there!

Mark and Jim, this is really shaping up to be a fantastic workshop and one that will be remembered.

I just wanted to say up front, thanks to everyone who have worked hard to get this event to happen.
