Nine years

Last Saturday I got together with Jeff Jepson for breakfast. Afterwards, we went over to his Uncles to do a little pruning. While we were working Jeff told me that it was the ninth anniversay of his fall from the tree.

for the past week I've been thinking about how my life would be different if Jeff would have died that day. I can think of many things that I wouldn't have experienced. Then I think of how an accident like that would have effected his wife and kids. Pretty scary.

I'm very thankful that Jeff wasn't hurt or killed. If you want to read about the accident, take a look at the intro to The Tree Climber's Companion. It's a good read.

Taking time to do whatever can be done to get home to our families is the biggest responsibility that we have.
