Anybody care to comment on the new Pfanner Gladiator Vent Chainsaw Pants at Treestuff? I'm in the market for new pants for my crews this summer. I was planning on the Arbortec's, as I was very disappointed in my last Pfanner's, durability wise, but these new ones have piqued my interest.

I have only owned the gladiators before my first pair of red "gladiator ventilators". I've only had them for a few months, but no issues on durability. I didn't really have issues with my other two pairs of gladiators though.

Friends had issues with another model of pfanners that didn't have the gladiator fabric on the front.

I'm rocking the ventilators. About 1 year of climbing and ground work. I've only had a pocket zip break and a few picks on the back from hanging my saw. I love these pants I wear them 5 to 6 days a week and don't even think about em. Every other pair of pants I have used I'm always pulling em up or blowing the crotch out. I'll be getting these pants again when they wear out in another year of use.

Awesome pants. Doubt there are better. Right now I have five pairs of pfanners and one stein. Pfanner keeps updating every couple of years. The new gladiators have actual vents just under the belt area, stronger/less stretchy fabric on the front. Total ground guy pants!

Ordered a pair of steins yesterday after a close call. Blood but no stitches. Used sips years ago when they were fairly new items. Wish I could try before I buy.
I have the stein kriegers, imho not impressed when compared to the current pfanner ventilations...especially for climbing. Sips are no where near pfanners. Steins are good pants but closer to the sips, as in being baggier and not fitting as well for a climber, at least for my lanky frame.
I'm 6'1" 175lbs 32" waist, 34" inseam I go with size small long, perfect.

All your gear Steve...treat yourself to a few pairs of pants bro!

Yeah. I'm gonna try the stein a bit then the pfanner pants next. Didn't want to drop all that coin at one time. Keeps my up on Luke's floor with multiple orders. Lol

I will get enemies but who cares....the phanner vents are great pants....fit me well and tough....just do not like chainsaw pants...have 2 pairs...just find them bulky...I wear regular non chainsaw phanner climbing pants now...but for those that do like chainsaw pants these are a good buy...

anybody wear the Sherrill pants? I've been wearing them for a few weeks and really like them. They are my first chainsaw pants so i dont really have anything to compare them to.
