New pads for spurs?

I checked them out on Arbsession. They're cheaper than the velcro wraps and the replaceable pads come in at $14. Add in some upper straps and It's a done deal. I like that.

Late to the game on this one. Stein/Climb Right make an aluminum pad with replaceable velcro inserts. They cost a little more, but are super durable and make old steel bucs “feel” light. I have a set on Bashlins, and other climbers who pick them up always do a double take at how light they are.

Like @oldoakman , I don’t have the right ergonomics for the Opsals in any size.

I have pretty tall slim legs. I thought the small size Caddies would be the one for me - no way. Just measured my calf at pad height today, 16" circumference.

This is a picture of my Caddie pads with about 10 years on the foam. I'm just now starting to think that some day - 5 years probably - I'll glue on that extra set of foam I bought.
