New Husqvarna burned up using factory premix

I bought a new husqvarna 440 along with some HV premix gas/oil at local Lowes. The saw quit within 30 mins and is seized up. P&C are toast. Local chainsaw repair place tested specific gravity of husqvarna premix and said it was waay too lean on oil. What are my options? Will HV replace this saw? No one answers at the main support number. Been on hold for hours.

I’m afraid I have no answers and just the same speculation as you probably have. I hope they take care of you.

Just wondering, do you shake the fuel jug/ bottle before use? Does the label say to do that? I’ve never bought premixed fuel, but have been considering it as ethanol free fuel gets rarer.
I was taught to do that early on, and it’s just a habit now, but I’ve never noticed separation of the gas and oil even after months.

Did you contact the Lowe’s you got it from, seems they would be interested in not selling more of the premix and may help with pressuring Husqvrana.

Either way Lowe's has a return policy. You should have been able to get a refund that day if u wanted.
Maybe Lowe's return policy is different but a good few years back I bought a jonsored from tractor supply, did a job and went back within days of the purchase and got my cash back. The saw was all good, wish I coulda kept it but I only needed it for that job. I know it sounds fucked up but I was a much different person back then and I wasn't living right.
