Hello everyone,
I’m fairly new to the industry; I worked for a great company in Wilmington for 6 weeks but the distance from home proved to be an issue for the kind of schedule they had on most Fridays. On short 4 hour days it wasn’t worth it to drive almost 2-1/2 hours round trip which meant by not asking me to come in, the crew was left short handed. Ultimately parting ways was decided (still on great terms with everyone I worked with including the owner; can put prospective employers in touch to verify) and here I am.
I have minimal experience but what I lack in experience, I make up for with a strong work ethic, a desire to learn and be there for my team, and reliability; I have never been late to a single day of work in my past two jobs going back at least two years.
I’ve climbed trees recreationally for a few years so I have a working understanding of rope work, am comfortable with most knots (and hitches/bends) that will be used on a job site, and setting up the portawrap. There is still much to learn for me but with good guidance I feel that I can be a solid investment for the right crew.
That said, my ideal crew would be one with a focus on safety and quality, everyone has a good attitude/doesn’t yell/berate those around them, and within an hours drive of Nakina, NC; such as Brunswick county, NC, Columbus county, NC, and Horry county, SC.
I loved going to work every day at the last company I was with and now I’d like to continue that path with a tree company where the distance won’t present issues for either party.
