New estimate car

Wish I knew the answer to get around all the crap. My accountant is pretty savvy but the overreach on taxation is crazy. Rite now I just wish I had work.
I’ll second that. My accountant is good too, but the prices in this area are low, and not getting any better. Are things a bit slow in your area these days?

I've worked 12 hours this week, 2 days last week and one day next week. Storm damage here and no calls. August was slamming. September wasn't great but not bad. October is empty. I'm questioning everything about what might be causing it. Deep introspection into who I am as a person and how that effects the business. Not in a good mental space but it always works out.....or not and then I'll just figure it out! I had a friend who would hire me to climb for him when I didn't have work. I enjoyed that. I'm not sure were actually friends anymore and don't have an explanation for that either. Oh well. Hope it picks up for you!!

Wow, that’s a big round of all-around disappointment! I’m sorry to hear you’re having such trouble!

We have a moderate workload, just all rather low margin, but a couple of my employees just announced that they’re leaving in the next couple weeks. Now we are looking, yet again. We just can’t seem to keep workers here. And the turnover is causing much more damage, which is killing what little profit we might otherwise be making. Life in business is tough these days.

I hope it turns a corner for you. Employee turnover is tough. Basically why I'm doing what I'm doing. Its just me. I dont have that stress or the stress of having to keep someone busy so they wont leave. Best thoughts headed your way.
Thank you. I’ve considered doing what you do as well, I just like my semi-office job too much to want to go back out in the field full time.

You’ll need to order them a year or so before you want em, depending on options maybe longer. Gas ones are less of a wait. What are the cubes used for? All salesman rigs??

I've been eyeing those up. Considering switching to the maverick after we retire the Nissan Cubes. Below is a picture of the Cube Fleet.

Nice fleet of cubes!
I’m from the Detroit area so if I didn’t drive a Ford -GM- or Chrysler I wouldn’t win my estimates and some would kick me off their property.

Old school mentality in this area because our economy is based off automotive industry

I know this isn’t true today as it use to be but it is what it is

As long as they allow you on the property with a bunch of Italian equipment.

Yeah I haven’t heard that one yet! But we support our locals , state, and American products as much as possible but it is what it is.
Ford trucks ,Ditch Witch's, Vermeer’s trailers, International 90” Big John Tree Spade all made in the USA but that Spider lift gets all the attention.

But with the name Vena they should know I’m a short hop across the pond from Italy lol

I hear you 100% on all that. Go back far enough and we’re all from somewhere else. I’ve been accused several times of having a very “European” operation. As you say, it is what it is. But more often than not, the giant American crane is nowhere to be found while I’m shoehorned into some back yard, wearing an Austrian saddle, a Deutschland helmet, draped in Italian threads and boots, holding a Swedish chainsaw and Japanese hand saw strapped to my leg, hanging from a Netherlands spider crane, dismantling a dead Siberian Elm and some Norway Maple tree that no one else seems to want to touch because it stands above a Korean azalea grove. Somehow, people STILL love the whole show and end up impressed in the end! Maybe it’s the Peterbilt, the Ford, and the Morbark parked out front that balances it all off? Dunno! :) Then I go to my son’s tee ball game and another dad tells me I look like a Viking. Where does it all end???

2-3 of them are used for sales. The rest are pulled and used for EAB injections or running errands, etc. I bought them because they get some serious attention and 30mpg.
Nissan discontinued them in North America in 2015 or so. Kinda sad really. Great little cars. Honestly the cube platform would make a great base for an electric vehicle.
