@Zacchaeus, how did you like the Fly? I have 120' in one of my block and tackle sets. I needed a small dia. rope and I like how round it stays. Then I bought another 50' to go with a DMN throwing hook. Light weight and the color combo is nice. Never climbed on it and doubt I ever will. I prefer the thicker ropes. Learned on 1/2'' 3 and 16 strand ropes. I got Yale's Sumac and Calamine to play with now. I love the Sumac and I'm sure the Calamine preforms the same.
Calamine and Sumac are my favorite ropes....hands down....just had to say that for the millionth time....

I tried arborplex when i first started. It started getting flat when i would use my hitchhiker. I use it now as my natural crotch rigging rope. Now im climbing on all gear blue craze 11.5. Loving it

I have never considered attempting SRT on arborplex... It really kind of struck me as odd to read it. I had a moment.
That's all I had to say.

[QUOTE="The Rebellion is very comfortable, the leg loops are great, it feels amazing actually being able to move my legs around. The increase of leg maneuverability has improved my ability to climb and my confidence in the tree. The rope bridge is really nice, but again, seeing how it's only two small stopper knots that keep you from falling to the ground is a bit unnerving. Trusting the rope bridge is easier for me than trusting the Blake's hitch when I start to apply pressure to it to descend.[/QUOTE]

How are you liking that Rebellion still? Do you have an ultimate opinion about it? I am considering getting one. I hear a lot of negatives about the excessive Velcro on the leg loops. Does this bother you? Hows the waist on being true to size?
Has Anybody else had experience with this harness? 123craig; whatchu think of the saddle?
I’d appreciate any input.

I'm not evern going to comment on the amount I've spent on gear in the past 2 months. It all started with a new saddle. :D
i hear that, treestuffs black friday sales were too good to resist, got new saddle, few ropes, mad hitch cords, pulleys, rings, zubat, a sick art positioner and much more, it was my birthday and i asked them to put th zubat arborist on sale and the next day it was! so i got it with talon leg mount and love it! i spent well over 1500 in that week lol

I'm relatively new to climbing and am considering buying a new rope already. I'm using 1/2" 12 strand arborplex right now and it works well, but it has a lot of stretch and the rope tends to try to hold the shape of the knots I tie. I'm climbing Ddrt switching between Blake's hitch and VT split tail systems, using modified body thrust technique with foot ascenders.

Thinking about getting Samson blue streak or Hawkeye 16 strand ropes to climb on instead, is there any significant difference between a 16 strand rope and a 24 strand rope?

Also considering switching out my weaver wide back, can't stand lack of leg maneuverability, for the Buckingham Rebellion tree saddle from Treestuff. Anyone have any experience with this saddle or any recommendations for a relatively cheap, rope bridge saddle with good leg maneuverability?

id reccommend the hi vee or ultra vee over blue streak, its similar in price but much brighter in the sun, almost glows, i have like 11 ropes, 24 strand and 16 and use my hi vee most often since the 24 strand dragonfly i have is super hi vis and sweet rope but isnt as durable so i only use it with a friction saver. as far as saddles i got the notch sentinal, its pretty nice, has every feature the top ones have but lower price, the rigging paws and rope bridge are sweet, u can replace the bridge easily and i often pop my lanyard onto the paws or a second ring to use it as second climb line when i need it, has many options for dif situations, and all the gear loops are nice too

If you have spent $1500 it is time to upgrade your Blake's hitch to something that self tends. I use a hitch climber pulley and an eye2eye with a vt knot. It cost me about $100. There are a lot of options and all of them are vastly superior to a Blake's hitch.
i have all kinds of dif stuff, for srt i have the hitch hiker and drt i have double and triple attachment pulleys and a bunch of types of high end eye to eyes but i like the 10mm stuff most. i was using all the fancy gear for awhile but then tried a blakes with armor prus split tail and love it, it just works for me so i stuck with it

Did not know anyone who would choose 16 strand rope after finding 24 strand...hmmm odd
i use each for their purposes, if im doin a tree where i can sshoot a line way up with my apta and set a friction saver im using the 24 strand but if i have to natural crotch it or im doing a nasty sticky pine i use the 16 to save my nice expensive 24 strand

Keep us updated on your progress MK146! -
I've also had the Buckingham Rebellion Saddle for over 2 years now - I keep wondering if I go to the Tree Motion whether it will be a step up or down?... Any questions on your saddle - fire them my way. You do also have the option to 'Liger Mod' that saddle it you wanted to gain 2 lower 'D's to run your lanyard off of them (like the more expensive Tree Motion).

Stay safe - enjoy!

Concerning the Rebellion Harness, did you guys find any good spots to stuff a caritool, vault, or TRANSporter?
