New bridge for Treemotion S.light

DSMc

Been here much more than a while

I'm looking for input on what might be available for a longer than stock bridge on my Treemotion. Not looking for a huge increase in length, but would like to have it adjustable enough to vary the hang point wear location.

Thanks for the suggestions, @Friedrich. I would much prefer to stay with the standard Treemotion bridges but non are long enough for what I have in mind. Is there any history on climbers using the teufelberger platinum line in this application?

Is anyone familiar with this line?

I’m in the market for the same thing for my onyx. Looks like arbsession sells it by the foot. So does Wesspur

I ended up getting the platinum and I can fit two bridges through the same hole on the rigging plate. The platinum is really stiff rope.

You guys see any problems with this set up?

Nothing wrong, but I am curious why you chose to run the two bridges as one? And with two rings rather than have two seperate bridges with a ring each.

On my onyx I cut the webbing where it’s double backed and rotated the rigging plate so two of the three holes face outwards.
I use a bridge in each hole made from Samson 7/16th 16strand.
Both go though one ring, but the long adjustable bridge has it’s own ring.

The thought was I could just unclip if I wanted my bridge extended way out, and clip it in to the double bridge ring at will. I hardly ever do this, but what I do find more useful is sucking in the bridge tight for ascent. In this configuration the main bridge turns into a backup for the rollclip.

It's not rated quite as high as the Globe 3000 but it has the basic characteristics of a good 10mm bridge cordage. Especially the intermediate soft polyester sleeve (PEZ) which minimizes abrasion between the braided Dyneema core and the inside of the polyester cover.

The only way to tell is to have it in hand as far as the bend radius goes, the specs otherwise are good.

For my homemade 10mm bridge I placed a Dyneema core inside a stripped Sterling HTP 10mm cover. After climbing on it for a year I dissected it and there was slight abrasion on the surface of the Dyneema core. When I dissect retired Globe 3000 TM bridges the Dyneema under the PEZ sleeve looks great.

Thanks, moss. My plans might be changing on the s.light bridge as I'm giving serious thought on switching to the new Monkey Beaver 1.0. Though I would still add an adjustable bridge to that, for the same reasons.
